House rat control

Lately, ive been pestered by house rats. My foods, my clothes, my stuffs, are tested by these friends of ours if these taste good. And they leave us cursing for the things they love to gnaw. Lately also, ive discovered that there is an easy way to control these rats. In the morning, when i was peeing ive seen one rat swimming in the container while there are two others at the bottom.

Help me Im drowning! Cant you see Im losing my energy for we've been here many hours already.

When I saw the surviving rat, I felt pity because it seemed he is crying for his life - sparing him from sure death, especially two of his companions were already dead.But looking back to what they have done to my stuffs and foods spoiled, its easy to ignore his silent plea. It seems a connection was only through our eyes. But i ignored. (Am I bad?)

I was thinking on the other hand, this could be a good house control for rats. What you gonna do is simply take off one span of the ceiling (I recommend in your comfort room), and place a bucket of water below the open span. The water must be deep enough not to provide an easy exit for the rat. Do not bring the water to the brim of the container. In this control, you do not have any expense made and it is safer for kids and pets. Your children or pet may touch the dead body of poisoned rat or poison baits. They, too may also be poisoned. But in this control, every thing is safe.

Is this a good project to propose for pest management council? What do you think? (LOL)
