so far. so good

SO far, SO GooD...

An answer that honestly say, its okay. It is also a soft reply which tells a thing or a matter is mediocre.
But it is also an honest answer to a deceitful joke.
Yesterday, i called a friend and the reply was a sound that tells that the number is no longer in used. I called our common friend asking wether he changed his number why it was so. She told me that he just didnt know how to activate the call options of his new phone.
I borrowed a phone from my officemate and dialed his number. It connected. I waited till he accepted the call. "Sir, survey lang po. Kumusta na po ang bago ninyong cellphone?"
"What?", came the reply.
"This is a just a survey sir, pina-follow-up ko lang po hows the service of your new phone, this is a company's survey checking the satisfaction of our customer on our new model."
"So far, so good." came a reply from an obviously disturbed individual.
And, the spell was broken when I laughed out loud, I can no longer contain the tickling I felt.
I can hear a laughing but revengeful breath from the other side saying, "May araw ka rin".

In the eyes of a child

When I went to a study location of my officemate, I had this encounter with children that really amused me. Though the place was not remotely far from the center, only about 7 km from the center proper of the municipality, the environment though seemed tell the other way. What amused me much was the smile and the looks of the children as they saw me. It was as it they have seen a celebrity (lol). They were hiding to a post and giggling watching me while I was helping my officemates collect the yield data. When I looked at them, especially the two girls will run away laughing mightily as they can, looking for farther structure they could hide. When they saw one, they would peek and look again to my direction and kept on giggling.

Remembering the camera inside my bag, I got it and pointed to them, the more that they run away and giggled. But when a little boy came near me and I took his picture, they slowly left their hiding place and came near me and loved the camera.

In the eyes of a child, life is so simple, and only fun. How I wish to be a child again.

Hiding behind a structure and peeping at me
